About Nashville First Church of the Nazarene

Nashville First Church of the Nazarene is an Urban Center for Spiritual and Social Transformation. 5 Expressions of worship in 4 languages are offered every Sunday morning with a Celebration Service in English, African Worship in Swahili and French, Haitian Worship in Creole, Hispanic Worship in Spanish, and an Emmaus Worship experience for our homeless population. Nashville First Church of the Nazarene embraces the doctrines and teachings of the International Church of the Nazarene whose Articles of Faith are part of the Constitution of the church in our official organizing documents, The Manual of the Church of the Nazarene. This worship community was formed in 1898 from which Trevecca Nazarene University was birthed. While embracing the traditions of our faith we remain a faithful presence in our urban setting of East Nashville, just across the river from the Tennessee Titans Stadium and downtown Music City. Transformation is happening all around this great Mother Church of the South, and we are blessed to follow God's lead in expanding ministries in order to reach lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
