About Powhatan Point Church of the Nazarene
We are a growing church in a semi-rural setting in SE Ohio with a ministry to the whole community. We are the only church of 6 in the community with a full-time pastor. We serve in a village in Belmont County with 14o0 people that was a hub of coal mining in North America. The majority of residents have a long family history in the area. We have a K-8 school (Switzerland of Ohio Local School District) on the edge of community, in which we have developed a presence through a WyldLife (part of Young Life) ministry. We strive to mission-active, locally as well as globally. We are in the heart of the Ohio River Valley within short commutes St. Clairsville, OH and Moundsville & Wheeling, WV. Pittsburg is our nearest airport, about an hour away.
