This Congregation is looking for a Co-Pastor to dream, develop and implement a ministry to young families, to work alongside the lead pastor and a team of volunteers toward a renewed vision of engaging our community and its younger demographic. We would encourage a willingness to invest in a longer tenure. Full time: salary, housing and benefits.
About Castro Valley Church of the Nazarene
The Castro Valley Church of the Nazarene embarked on ministry in the East Bay in 1924 and has served this community for 100 years. Through this the church has reimagined itself several times and stayed strong and viable, continuing to this present day. It is financially sound with funds for proactive investments in ministry. It is aging but includes a core of young families ready to partner with a Pastor to reach its demographic. The Pastor and the board have implemented a renewal vision and will be supporting this process to success. The congregation is located in a stable community with highly rated schools and opportunities for outreach in Oakland and Silicon Valley suburbs.
