Job Title: Part-Time Worship Director

Church: West Side Church of the Nazarene

Location: Wichita, KS

Hours: 15 hours per week

West Side Church of the Nazarene in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Music Director to lead and enhance our worship experience. The Music Director will be responsible for overseeing the music ministry, coordinating worship services, and cultivating a spirit of worship among the congregation of approximately 100 members. This individual should have a strong musical background, leadership skills, and a deep love for Christ-centered worship.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Plan and lead music for weekly worship services, including Sunday mornings and special services (e.g., Christmas, Easter, etc.).

·  Direct and rehearse with the praise team and instrumentalists.

·  Select music that aligns with the church’s theological beliefs and enhances the worship experience.

·  Coordinate with the pastor and worship team to ensure cohesive worship services.

·  Encourage and mentor volunteers and musicians within the congregation.

·  Manage and maintain musical equipment and resources.

·  Assist with the integration of technology in worship, such as sound systems and multimedia.

Qualifications & Skills:

·  Strong musical proficiency in vocals and/or instrumentation (piano, guitar).

·  Experience leading church music ministry or worship teams.

·  Ability to read music.

·  Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

·  A heart for worship and commitment to spiritual growth.

·  Familiarity with a range of worship styles, from traditional hymns to contemporary praise music.

·  Ability to work collaboratively with church leadership and volunteers.

·  Experience in church ministry or leading a congregation in worship.

·  Familiarity with church music software and sound systems.
