Wellspring Church of the Nazarene is seeking an associate pastor who will provide bilingual leadership for our Laton congregation and help us continue building meaningful relationships within the surrounding community.
This position will begin as an associate role, with the expectation that the pastor will grow into a full ministry partnership as Wellspring develops a new congregation in Hanford. Once the vision and ministry plan are firmly established, the associate pastor will become the lead pastor of the Laton congregation, while the current lead pastor transitions into full-time leadership of the Hanford church plant.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and comfortable building relationships across cultures and generations. The primary preaching responsibility will be in English. The pastor will also work alongside the experienced pastoral couple who currently leads the Spanish-language evening worship service, providing a strong and supportive ministry team from the beginning.
Wellspring has developed effective partnerships throughout the community, including ministries of compassion, outreach, and service. We are looking for someone who will embrace these relationships with enthusiasm, strengthen existing partnerships, and help identify new opportunities for the church to serve and connect with its neighbors.
The Laton and Hanford congregations will function as two expressions of one shared ministry. The pastors will work collaboratively, with a shared church board, shared financial resources, and a commitment to mutual support rather than competition. Although each pastor will provide primary leadership in a particular location, the ministries will remain closely connected in vision, administration, and mission.

Fluent in English and Spanish
Comfortable preaching primarily in English

Flexible and energized by the opportunities of a growing, multi-site ministry
Committed to the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition and the mission of making Christlike disciples in the nations
This is an opportunity for a pastor who wants to become deeply rooted in a congregation and community while helping shape the future of an emerging ministry. We are seeking someone who will love the people of Laton, work generously with fellow pastors and leaders, and help Wellspring grow as one church serving in multiple communities. This candidate joins two other ordained pastoral couples and a part-time secretary.
We are able to provide a salary and housing in the Laton community. Ample opportunity is available for substitute teaching as a secondary source of income.
