Overview

Searching for a full-time Children’s Pastor to oversee all aspects of the children’s ministry program.  This person will be dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of children in the church community, creating a safe and engaging environment, and building strong relationships with both children and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Spiritual Leadership:  
    • Provide spiritual guidance and teaching to children in a way that is age-appropriate and relevant to their lives
    • Plan and lead engaging and meaningful worship, lessons, and activities that align with the teachings and values of the Nazarene Church
  • Volunteer Coordination:
    • Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to assist in various aspects of the children’s ministry.
  • Event Planning and Coordination:
    • Organize and oversee special events, programs, and activities tailored to children and their families.
  • Communication:
    • Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding upcoming events, curriculum, and opportunities for involvement in the children’s ministry program.
    • Foster open and transparent communication with the broader church.
  • Administration:
    • Comfortable with using Planning Center online management tools (people, check-ins, groups, etc.)
    • Assist in budgeting and financial management for the children’s ministry program.

Qualifications:

  • A personal commitment to the Christian faith, and alignment with the Articles of Faith.
  • Experience working with children in a church or similar setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to both children and their families.
  • Organizational and administrative abilities to effectively manage the children’s ministry program.
  • Ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers in a collaborative and supportive manner.
