Tulsa Central Church Worship & Associate Pastor Job Description

Job Summary
Tulsa Central Church is building lives centered on Christ. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Worship Pastor to lead and cultivate a vibrant worship culture that engages our congregation and connects with our community. This individual will be responsible for planning and leading Sunday services, overseeing the worship and production teams, and taking on associate pastoral duties based on their unique gifts and passions. This position will also take on Associate/Executive roles within the church. The scope of these roles will be determined based on the candidates giftings and passions, as well as church needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sunday Service Planning
• Select and arrange songs for worship services.
• Collaborate with the pastor to develop the order of service.
• Implement creative elements that enhance the worship experience.
Worship & Production Team Leadership
• Lead and develop worship teams, including:
o Singers
o Musicians
o Audio technicians
o Visual and lighting teams
o Streaming and production staff
• Oversee scheduling, training, recruiting, and leadership development within the worship and production teams.
Administrative & Budget Management
• Set and manage budgets for worship ministry
Associate Pastor Responsibilities
(To be determined based on the candidate’s gifts and passions)
• Preaching and teaching
• Pastoral care
• Hospitality ministry
• Discipleship and assimilation
• Small groups and outreach
• Event planning and execution
• Facilities oversight
• Social media engagement
• Website maintenance
Qualifications
• Clear call to ministry and heart for the church
• Stands in agreement with Church of the Nazarene polity and theology
• Strong leadership abilities, both on stage and in team development.
• Vocal and instrumental competence with a heart for worship.
• Proficiency in worship technology, including Planning Center, ProPresenter, sound systems, lighting, and live streaming.
• Passion for training and empowering others in worship ministry.
• Commitment to cultivating a worship culture that engages young families and reaches the community.
