Position Summary:
The Valley Church is a multi-campus church that exists to punch holes in the darkness. Punching holes in the darkness unleashes spiritual victories, physical healings, the poor are released from poverty, and the marginalized are seen. We are sending empowered, called, and equipped people into a world that desperately needs Jesus.

Our Next Gen pastor will be a leader who has a passion to influence children, teens, and their families. They will be passionate about their call to ministry and demonstrate a willingness to engage in the lives of children, their families, and our community.
What you bring:
● The successful candidate will have experience in Next Gen ministry with the ability to recruit volunteers, lead serve teams, and develop leaders. They will embrace working in a grace-oriented setting committed to reaching the unchurched and developing relationships with families, our community, and schools.
Core Responsibilities:
● Communicate a clear vision and strategy for Next Gen ministries.
● Disciple elementary age children
● Lead and develop a team of volunteers, parents, and ministry leaders to effectively implement the vision.
● Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with unchurched young people in the community.
● Create an environment where kids beg their parents to take them to church.
● Recruit and train a team of volunteers to assist in leading the ministries.
● Provide pastoral care.
● Partner with parents by creating a discipling culture and providing them with support and resources.
● Mentoring future leaders called to ministry, whether teens or adults.
● Steward the Next Gen ministry budget with wisdom and care.

● Leads a life of following Christ and has life/work balance in marriage, parenting, and friendships.
● Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
● An effective communicator that reaches an audience of all ages.
● Possess the capability of turning strategy into creative execution, to create and develop systems to build a successful children’s ministry based on The Valley mission.
● Relational, with a friendly and approachable disposition.
● Possess a teachable spirit.
● A genuine love and passion for working with children, students, and young adults.
● Comfortable receiving feedback from within a collaborative team.
● Growing emotional intelligence and awareness of strengths and weaknesses.
● A passion for developing, equipping, and propelling both individual leaders and teams.
● Commitment to the mission, core values, and beliefs of The Valley Church.
● If married, your spouse will be a strong supporter of your ministry.

The successful candidate will:
● Possess a theological framework that aligns with our Wesleyan/Arminian beliefs
● Champion women in ministry as both Lead Pastors and Teaching Pastors
● Adhere to God’s original design for marriage
