Worship Pastor

Southeast Church is a multiethnic, multigenerational community dedicated to living by faith, being a voice of hope, and being known by love. Our mission is to declare the name of Jesus to the world, creating a home for those who don’t have one. We strive to lead people to find healing, restart their fire, and help make a difference.

We are seeking a passionate and talented Worship Leader to help us express our love for Jesus through music. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading worship in a variety of styles, including Gospel-style or contemporary Christian music (e.g., Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Elevation), and Gospel-Lite (e.g., Maverick City, Israel and New Breed, Todd Dulaney, Tasha Cobb).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Worship: Lead our congregation in worship during services, providing a spiritually enriching experience that aligns with our mission and values.
• Music Selection: Select appropriate music for each service that reflects the diverse tastes of our congregation, spanning multiple generations and ethnicities.
• Team Leadership: Work closely with our music team, fostering a supportive and cooperative environment.
• Rehearsals: Organize and lead rehearsals to ensure smooth execution of worship services.
• Event Participation: Participate in special events and church functions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience leading worship in a similar context.
• Proficiency in a variety of musical styles, including hymns (Gospel style or uptempo), CCM (Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Elevation, etc.), and Black Gospel (Todd Dulaney, Tasha Cobb, etc.).
• Strong vocal abilities and mastery in at least one musical instrument.
• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
• Strong alignment with the mission and values of Southeast Church.
