Youth Pastor Job Description
Position: Full-Time Youth Pastor
Location: Science Hill Church of the Nazarene, Kentucky

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated Youth Pastor who will help lead, mentor, and grow the next generation of believers.
Position Overview:
The Youth Pastor will be responsible for overseeing and developing the youth ministry at Science Hill Church of the Nazarene. This includes building meaningful relationships with the youth, engaging with schools and parents, and guiding students on their spiritual journeys. The Youth Pastor will be a relational leader who fosters a welcoming environment where students feel loved, supported, and encouraged to grow in their faith.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Relationship Building: Develop strong, personal relationships with youth, parents, and the community. Invest in the lives of students both inside and outside the church through regular interaction, involvement in schools, and community engagement.
2. Ministry Leadership: Lead and oversee all aspects of the youth ministry, including mid-week programs, events, etc. Create relevant, Biblically grounded teachings that resonate with today’s youth.
3. Discipleship: Equip students to grow in their relationship with Christ, supporting them through mentoring, small groups, and discipleship opportunities.
4. Outreach & Evangelism: Lead efforts to reach new students and invite them into the life of the church. Partner with the congregation in serving the community and sharing the love of Christ through outreach initiatives.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with church leadership, volunteers, and parents to create a holistic approach to student ministry. Collaborate on church-wide events and initiatives that promote unity and service.
6. Spiritual Growth: Model and encourage a lifestyle of worship, prayer, and spiritual formation for students. Foster an environment where youth feel safe, loved, and challenged to live out their faith.
7. Administration: Handle administrative tasks related to youth ministry, including planning, communication, event coordination, and managing budgets.
Qualifications:
- A heart for youth and a passion for building relationships with students, families, and schools.
- A vibrant, growing relationship with Christ.
- Experience in youth ministry or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with church leadership, volunteers, and parents.
