About Ravenna Church of the Nazarene
Ravenna Church of the Nazarene is a church of Christians who are G.L.A.D.—believers who GO, LOVE, and DO. We are a growing congregation in eastern Kentucky committed to helping people take their next step with Jesus Christ.
We are seeking a Volunteer Worship Pastor who desires to use their musical gifts to lead others into worship while growing as a ministry leader. Whether you are exploring God’s call to ministry, pursuing ministerial studies, or looking for a place to gain hands-on experience, we’d love to talk with you.
About the Role
The Worship Pastor will work alongside the Lead Pastor to plan and lead worship services that point people to Jesus Christ.
This is a volunteer ministry position designed to provide meaningful leadership experience, mentoring, and opportunities for growth in a healthy local church.
What We’re Looking For
*A growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
*A heart for leading people in worship rather than simply performing music.
*A teachable spirit and willingness to grow.
*Musical ability (vocally, instrumentally, or both).
*A desire to work as part of a ministry team.
*Agreement with the doctrine and mission of the Church of the Nazarene.
Responsibilities
*Plan worship services in cooperation with the Lead Pastor.
*Lead congregational worship on Sunday mornings and special services.
*Recruit, encourage, and develop worship team volunteers.
*Help cultivate an atmosphere where people can genuinely worship God.
*Participate in the life and ministry of the church.
