PFC Taking It To The Streets
Pueblo First Church of the Nazarene, located in Pueblo Colorado, is looking for a highly relational, motivated, grace filled, energetic Youth Pastor to lead our student ministries (grades 6 through 12) and their families toward Christ and be a part of a pastoral/staff ministry team.
This is a full time pastoral position with the responsibilities for the overall ministry to youth and their families. But also includes some community connections responsibilities which will work smoothly with this youth ministry position. This person must have a clear call to youth ministry and be passionate to coach/disciple young people to become followers of Jesus Christ. We are looking for someone who will build and develop other leaders to minister to teens even as they develop relationships with teens themselves. Education and youth ministry experience is required as well as being in agreement with the Wesleyan Holiness doctrine of the Church of the Nazarene.
A little about us here at PFC… We are an active faith community with an average worship attendance of 170 people. Our mission is to introduce people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by making the connection: with God, with one another, and with our community and world. We are called to live out 1st Peter 4:8 “above all, love each other deeply”.
The Youth Pastor we are seeking will need to have 3-4 years of youth ministry experience, have completed or are nearing completion of their course of study, have a great passion and love for Jesus and for people, but also have the ability to recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders to help do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4). This individual will be a shepherd to the youth, while providing leadership that motivates, equips and releases a team of volunteers into ministry that leads our teens to a Christ-like life.
