MINISTRY PURPOSE

The Worship Leader provides leadership, vision, and oversight for the Worship Ministry of OroNaz Church. This role exists to help people encounter Jesus through Christ centered worship and meaningful gatherings.

The Worship Leader partners with the Lead Pastor and pastoral staff to create worship experiences that are spiritually formative, biblically grounded, and aligned with the mission and values of OroNaz Church: helping people encounter Jesus and grow as His disciples.

 

RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Lead Pastor for encouragement, accountability, and guidance.

Collaborates with associate staff in the areas of communications, media and technology.

Collaborates with the pastoral staff team to integrate the church’s mission and values across ministries.

Leads and supports volunteers and ministry leaders serving in the Worship Ministry.

Evaluated by Lead Pastor, in cooperation with the Church Leadership Team, in the areas of:

Character – living in alignment with biblical qualifications for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1–13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5–9).

Competence – consistently fulfilling job expectations.

Collaboration – building teams, communicating effectively, and working in unity with staff and ministries.

EXPECTATIONS

Attend pastoral staff meetings and contribute to team collaboration, vision, and prayer.

Provide creative worship for church gatherings, ensuring services are Christ-centered, engaging, and spiritually formative.

Oversee worship and music ministry, including team development, song selection, planning, and coordination with audio/visual and production teams and lead pastor.

Provide creative direction and support for media, and storytelling—ensuring consistency and clarity across digital and physical platforms.

Supervise and support volunteers involved in worship, media, and production.

Maintain clear and effective systems for communication, scheduling, and ministry coordination for worship team.

Ensure high standards of excellence and authenticity in worship gatherings, music, digital content, and communication materials.

Support the Lead Pastor and staff in developing and implementing ministry goals and priorities.

Communicate ministry updates to the pastoral staff and church leadership

QUALIFICATIONS

A devoted follower of Jesus, committed to discipleship in community.

Embraces and practices Wesleyan theology, with a commitment to ongoing growth.

Prioritizes family, personal health and wellness (spiritual, emotional, physical).

Sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in personal life and ministry.

Demonstrated calling and preparation for pastoral ministry, with appropriate licensure or ordination (or in process).

Proven leadership experience in worship, creative arts, with some experience in communications, technology and media.

Musically gifted and capable of leading worship or overseeing worship teams with theological depth and artistic excellence.

Skilled in team leadership, organization, communication, and project management.

Creative thinker with an eye and ear for design, media, music, and storytelling that reflect the heart of the gospel.

Able to recruit, equip, and empower leaders and volunteers for ministry effectiveness.

Demonstrates integrity, discernment, humility, and a collaborative spirit.

Professional, trustworthy, punctual, and self-motivated.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is up to $50,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
