Worship Director/Pastor

POSITION SUMMARY

Olive Knolls Church exists to make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ by building an attractive community for our active reach as we REACH, GROW, SERVE, and GO. Music is an essential expression of worship to God and an elemental piece of our weekend services.

The Worship Arts Director/Pastor provides oversite, leadership, pastoral care and discipleship in all areas of creative arts at Olive Knolls Church. This position exists to help foster a culture and community of worshipers that pursue excellence in all artistic areas for the glory of Jesus’ name.

The Worship Director/Pastor is a full-time salaried position. Therefore, a minimum of 40hours per week is required. This position requires a complete background check, resume,and references.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)

1. Cast a clear and compelling vision for Worship ministry

2. Minister beyond the music. Incorporate testimonies, scripture, prayer, and other elements into services

3.  Be the expert regarding all things pertaining to sound

4. Manage OKC song and media library.

5. Collaborate with Celebrate Recovery Director, Youth and Children’s Pastor for all thing’s music/worship.

6.  Lead the Worship Team on Wednesday night Youth Ministry for 5-12 Grade.

7. Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to plan and prepare for Sunday Services

8. Oversee/Plan for special Services like Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Night of Worship, 21 days of Prayer

9. Lead weekly rehearsals and worship services

10. Recruit, train, develop, and support vocal, instrumental, and technical volunteers

11. Ensure role clarity and excellent execution of responsibilities for all volunteers

12. Organize and administer volunteer schedules and service plans

13. Recruit, train, develop, and support technical, production, and digital ministries volunteers

14. Supervise paid A/V engineer positions

15. Other duties as needed or assigned by the Lead Pastor
