Overview
Olive Knolls Christian School is looking for a Vice Principal, a salaried position, who will have a full buy-in to our philosophy and culture. We build resilient and capable kids with a Christ-called character. We believe our children should go through (not avoid) the normal struggles of life with Jesus-loving adults around them to speak into their lives and demonstrate how to navigate those struggles. We look for parents who believe the same and will build a strong trust between parent and school.
We do not have a litmus test for faith or academics. Ours is a mission field for our sponsoring church and God has blessed that mission. We have real world issues that are dealt with in a culture that is totally Christ-centered.
We need a Vice Principal who will not merely discipline our students but disciple them. Where the public school deals with symptoms, we deal with causes and transform the lives of those on our campus.
We need a Vice Principal who is not afraid to wear many hats – as we all do here – with a team that is positive and vision-driven. (You need to be a basically happy person.) Those hats may include discipline, discipleship, professional development, and other duties expressed from that V.P.’s own contribution of creativity.
We are not a school of wealthy families. This is a campus where everyone sacrifices to be here – parents, faculty, and staff alike – to accomplish the vision God has given.
We were a school (kindergarten through 8th grade) of 164 students prior to the 2020 lockdowns. We are now a school of 301 with an expectation of reaching 324 in the 2024-2025 school year. We will soon finish a building project and plan to be in another very soon to expand our beautiful campus.

Olive Knolls Church of the Nazarene is a growing congregation settled in the heartland of California. It is dominated by a conservative culture of agriculture and oil. Its young pastoral team, under the leadership of a seasoned senior pastor, is making new and positive inroads into the community. The sponsored school is very much a part of that mission.
