Overview

We want to build the position around the giftedness of the applicant! Our largest need currently is for someone to help with the details/business/coordination of our ministries here, but we want to primarily reach out and see how you personally could fit into our team here. Please apply!

Below are some suggested needs/roles for the position, but they are not complete and yet also not necessarily expected of the applicant depending on their call, passion, giftedness, etc.

 

Overview of Pastoral Responsibilities
–       *Role will be defined to best suit the giftedness of the applicant
 
Overview of Administrative Responsibilities
–        Serves as administrative assistant to lead pastor (correspondence, telephoning, generating reports, emailing, etc. and responds to needs or requests)
–        Verifies personal information and updates that information in church management system for new and existing attendees
–        Maintains member lists: membership, weddings, deaths, baptisms and dedications.
–        Prepares, organizes and distributes annual election information
 
Overview of Communication Responsibilities
–        Answer incoming calls, screen and direct calls 
–        Maintain/communicate prayer request list
–        Keep Online Church Calendar updated
–        Keep Website Updated
–        Funnel calls about pastoral care needs to the lead pastor
–        Sorts all incoming mail
–        Records incoming checks and store them appropriately
–        Records new memorial contributors in Church management system
–        Creates and mails memorial contributors acknowledgements
–        Creates and mails family of memorial contributions acknowledgements
 
Overview of Graphic Design Responsibilities
–        Design and produce funeral/memorial service bulletins (working w/officiating pastor and family)
–        Creates all certificates (Church Membership; Baptisms/Dedications; Births)
–        Working with Ministry department heads as needed (Children’s, youth, NDI, NMI, women’s, etc.)
–        Designs and produces pre service visual announcement (Pro-Presenter) and adds them to the sound booth computer
 
Overview of Maintenance Responsibilities
–        Handle problems or maintenance issues with office equipment including computers, copier, etc. by personally resolving or contacting the appropriate support
–        Maintain inventories of standard office supplies i.e. paper; toners and materials as requested for the work room and office
–        Work with janitorial staff to help maintain stock of janitorial supplies

 

Compensation will be reviewed and discussed based on the nature of the exact position and qualifications of the applicant.
