Orange Park Church of the Nazarene (OPCON) is looking for someone who loves to support families, serve volunteers, and help children walk in the ways of The Lord.
OPCON is a church in a safe growing community with outstanding schools and beautiful neighborhoods centrally located near Jacksonville, St. Augustine and the St. Johns River.

We are looking to bring into our ministry a Part-Time Children’s Ministry Leader.
We are looking for a Scripturally-grounded, Enthusiastic, Talented, Humble individual to lead our Children’s Ministry Department.
Job Summary:
Director of Children’s Ministry will lead and oversee the Children’s Ministry (birth to grade 5) within the scope of the overall church vision as set forth by the Senior Pastor and the Church of the Nazarene.
With the collaborative efforts of the volunteers, parents, and the pastoral staff, the director oversees effective ministry for the spiritual growth of the children.
Ensure the safety and security of our children during church activities and events by implementing all the appropriate policies and procedures.
Work with others to create and/or oversee programming such as Children’s Worship, Sunday School, fellowship, educational/equipping events, camp, Vacation Bible School, local outreach, and missions.
Partner with parents in the spiritual development of their children.
Seek the spiritual well-being of children and volunteers.
Promote Scripture memorizing, prayer, and personal Bible reading
Work closely with the NYI President to assure smooth transition of students to youth ministry.
Be available as needs arise for prayer, crises, and other urgencies involving the children.
Regularly attend worship service and prayer gatherings.
Regularly attend leadership and church board meetings.
Comply with church policies and procedures.
Responsible to and works under the supervision of the Senior Pastor.
