Location: Mobile First Church of the Nazarene (Mobile, AL)
Position: Part-Time Nursery Teacher
Job Description:
Our church is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and loving environment for children aged newborn to 5 years. This is a part-time, hourly position, ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and the development of young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise and interact with children in a nurturing manner, ensuring their safety and well-being.
– Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote spiritual, physical, social, and emotional development.
– Support children’s individual needs and build positive relationships with them and their families.
– Prepare the nursery space for activities and ensure it is clean and organized.
– Collaborate with church staff during special events and assist as needed.
Schedule:
– Sundays and Wednesdays, with additional hours as required during church events.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting preferred.
– Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– A warm, patient, and caring demeanor.
