Liberty Towers is a group of diverse people from every walk of life who are in personal pursuit of knowing God and intimately discovering who God is in our lives. We are all about families. Kids & their families matter at Liberty Towers. We partner with families to engage kids, birth through high school, in faith and character development. We seek to provide an environment for children where they will discover who God is in a safe and fun atmosphere designed just for them.

Liberty Towers averages approximately 260 in weekly attendance and serves alongside an affiliated 501(c)(3) nonprofit called Impact Sac, which shares the campus and mission focus. We value collaborative leadership, intentional discipleship, and meaningful community engagement.

Position Summary

The Lead Pastor provides pastoral leadership through preaching, discipleship, pastoral care, staff leadership, while guiding the church in living out its mission to impact the community and reach people from all walks of life.

The Lead Pastor will champion family ministry, collaborate with church and nonprofit leadership, and serve in alignment with the beliefs and polity of the Church of the Nazarene. They must also have a passion for the flourishing of the city around the church.

Key Responsibilities

Preach and teach the Word of God in alignment with Nazarene doctrine.

Provide spiritual leadership that encourages growth in faith, generous living, and outward-focused discipleship.

Cast vision that reflects Liberty Towers’ values to IMPACT, GROW, GIVE, and INVITE.

Supervise and support a staff team and empower volunteer leaders.

Shepherd a diverse congregation with relational warmth, cultural humility, and pastoral care.

Work collaboratively with the church board, district leadership, and leadership of the affiliated 501(c)(3), maintaining healthy alignment and appropriate organizational boundaries.

Champion family and next-generation ministry in partnership with staff and volunteer leaders.

Represent the church within the broader community.

Qualifications

Seeking candidates from the USA/Canada Region who are Ordained Elders in the Church of the Nazarene or eligible for ordination.

Strong alignment with Nazarene theology, mission, and Manual of the Church of the Nazarene.

Proven pastoral ministry experience, including preaching, leadership, and team development.

A heart for community engagement, family ministry, and reaching people from diverse background’s.

Relationally strong, spiritually mature, and emotionally healthy leader.
