Time Requirements:Â Full time
Purpose: Â The Pastor of Multicultural Ministry role is to provide leadership in empowering Immanuel Church to assimilate people of diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds to become one in Christ and develop a strong Multicultural ministry.
Areas of Responsibility:
1.   Multicultural Ministry at Immanuel Church
a.  Develop a strong Multicultural congregation presence within the present congregation. Since 23% of the population within a five-mile radius of Immanuel identifies themselves as Multicultural, a goal would be to have 23% of Immanuel’s regular attendees comprised of multicultural family .
b.  Develop, implement, and lead the vision of Multicultural Ministry and Hispanic Ministry within the surrounding community in conjunction with Immanuel’s current Multicultural Ministry Leadership team and Hispanic Ministry Leadership team.
c.  Train and equip multicultural ministry leaders at Immanuel Church.
d.  Provide strategic events for the congregation to be aware of cultural diversity (e.g., Annual Culture Night, My Immigration Story, etc.)
e. Â Lead Immanuel Church to integrate people of diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds to become one in Christ
f. Â Â Provide biblical small groups, lessons, and seminars for the congregation to have awareness of multiculturalism (i.e., Culture and Connect)
g.  Provide pastoral care for Multicultural families having surgery and/or hospitalization. The number of visits will be determined by the length of stay and the seriousness of the illness. Communicate with the Lead Pastor to let him/her know what has been seen and if he/she needs to make additional calls or visits.

2.   Administrative Responsibilities
a.    Regularly attend the weekly staff prayer time, staff meeting and staff moment with the pastor; in addition to attending the bi-weekly staff strategic planning time and any other staff events.
b.    Hold regular office hours.
c.    Assist the Lead Pastor in any way necessary to help him/her carry out the Lord’s vision, including preaching.
3.   Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other church staff to foster and promote a cooperative environment conducive to maximize the effectiveness of the overall ministry of the church.
4.   At all times projects a favorable image of Lansdale Immanuel Church of the Nazarene to promote its vision, mission and core values.
5.   Knowledge, skills and abilities
a.    excellent relationship building and influence skills
b.    strong presentation and facilitation skills
c.    demonstrated ability to influence others and persuade without positional authority
d.    strong administrative skills to be able to plan, organize and direct work for self and others
e.    working knowledge of basic budgeting and church financial reporting
f.     ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) to senior leadership
g.    demonstrated ability to explain and teach basic church doctrine to others
h.    basic understanding of church polity
6.   Minimum education and experience
a.    district licensing leading to ordination in the Church of the Nazarene
b.    possesses a college degree
7.   Qualifications:
a.    Agrees with and supports the doctrine and policies of the Church of the Nazarene
b.    Committed to Immanuel’s vision, mission, core values and strategic initiatives
c.    Maintains a Christ-like attitude; exemplifying a spirit of servanthood and team work
d.    Passionate follower of Jesus Christ, having experience a New Birth in Christ and the event of personal Entire Sanctification.
e.    Passionately loves children, teens and young adults and is an example of what it means to be a New Testament believer.
f.     College education
