The ideal candidate for the next pastor of KNUIEC would
· be an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene
· be an international with experience in Korean culture and language
· have an advanced degree related to theology
· have experience with pastoral ministry
The candidate must
· be ordained in the Church of the Nazarene soon
· have experience with cross-cultural ministry
· have lived outside of Korea for an extended time and have a high level of English fluency with strong communication skills
· be eligible to live and work in Korea
· have basic knowledge of Korean culture and language
· have a bachelor’s degree related to theology
· be a hospitable pastor with a heart for fostering spiritual growth between Korean and international peoples
· show strong support for local and international missionary work
· have the ability to adapt to a mixture of cultures
· desire to be in Korea for a minimum of several years
The pastor’s compensation will include
· an apartment and its utilities
· all benefits required by Korean law (health insurance, retirement, and severance pay)
· annual remuneration between 25,000,000-30,000,000 KRW based upon the candidate’s qualifications and living situation
