Worship Team Developer:

  • Develops relationship-based team atmosphere for worship singers and instrumentalists:
    • Quarterly gatherings
    • Weekly Rehearsals
    • One-on-one relationship meetings
  • Identifies and develops team members to become Worship Team Leaders.
  • Creates and records multiple cohesive team units
  • Ensures new team members complete onboarding process (Connect Track, background check, code of ethics)
  • Provides pastoral care and shepherding for Worship Team members

Worship Services Leader and Planner:

  • Primary Leader of Sunday worship.
  • Primary Leader of worship for weeks City First Church is responsible for Mission Chapel.
  • Creates quarterly set lists and works with preaching pastor to determine specific songs to enhance the weekly message
  • Manages department budget responsibly, providing a strong ministry program within available resources
  • Bi-weekly meetings with Worship Admin to schedule teams, review budgets, etc.
  • Set Design/Décor
  • Arranges for seasonal (quarterly) set changes. Utilizes volunteers.

Essential/Minimum Needed Qualifications:

  • Church of the Nazarene Course of Study; and one year of pastoral experience orchestrating worship services.
  • The final candidate(s) must successfully complete a thorough background check, and any other relevant check(s) related to the conditions of employment and be determined to be position qualified as per City First policy.
  • A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ is required for all employees in agreement with the spiritual mission, values and doctrine of City First Church of the Nazarene.
  • District Licensed in the Church of the Nazarene.
  • Fluency in English.

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Maintains a steady rhythm of renewal so that work functions from overflow of the Holy Spirit.
  • Is an engaging Worship Leader. This role leads people to worship God.
  • Demonstrated skills for good interpersonal communication and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated musicality
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in managing sensitive situations.
  • Experience using computers including word processing, email, planning center software and ProPresenter
  • Basic working knowledge of equipment used to support the worship experience: Sound system (boards and monitors), and lights.
  • Passion for serving the church.
  • Knowledge of and experience practicing the teachings of the Christian faith, particularly Nazarene doctrine.
