Job Summary

The family pastor specializes in leading family ministries and organizing children/youth ministry of the local congregation and is qualified to function in all rites, ceremonies and ministries of the church.

Qualifications:

1.     The family pastor must have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ and be sanctified wholly by the baptism with or infilling of the Holy Spirit.
2.     The family pastor must have a deep love for God and for people.
3.     The family pastor must have a deep sense of the necessity of believers going on to perfection and developing the Christian graces in practical living.
4.     The family pastor is to be an example to the church in patience, kindness, love, and truth by the power of God.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.     The family pastor is to be one of the spiritual leaders and advisors of the local congregation at Chillicothe First Church of the Nazarene.
2.     The family pastor will take the lead over family ministries of Chillicothe First Church of the Nazarene.
3.     The family pastor will organize the children/youth ministry team of Chillicothe First Church of the Nazarene.
4.     The family pastor is expected to participate and be available to administer the sacraments of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism to the local congregation.
5.     The family pastor will lead the children’s church on Sunday mornings and when scheduled, lead Wednesday night family programs.
6.     The family pastor will cast a vision for family ministries at Chillicothe First Church of the Nazarene.
7.     The family pastor is to organize volunteers and equip the saints for ministry in church work and activity, especially in the area of children/youth ministry.
8.     The family pastor is not a member of the church board, but attends church board meetings and provides a written report to the local church board leadership team.
