About Southwood Church of the Nazarene

Southwood Nazarene's mission is seeking God through creative prayer, intentional discipleship, and compassionate service. The church building is located in the residential area of south Raytown and was established in 1957. Our motto "Loving God, Loving People" rings unfailingly true. We are known for our family focus/feel, compassion, and missionary emphasis. We are also known as a "sending" church due to our proximity to Nazarene Theological Seminary – some 15 minutes away. We have strong ties with nearby school Southwood Elementary, and are developing a growing ministry with schools and other organizations in the area. As such, in this role you will be joining a small but growing community of compassion, working with predominately the pastor and ministry helpers.
