Next Gen Pastor (or director, if in process of becoming ordained)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Next Gen Pastor/Director plays the lead role in the overall ministry and pastoral care for our next generation and their families within the WPNaz church community. Working closely alongside the Lead Pastor, the Next Gen Pastor/director will spearhead efforts to create a nurturing and spiritually enriching environment for families to thrive, directly overseeing the KidMin and YouthMin departments (birth-12th grade).

ABOUT THE MINISTRY

The purpose of KidMin & YouthMin ministry is to provide a spiritual fueling station for children and adolescents, so that as they prepare for adulthood, they:

  1. Know the story of Jesus.
  2. Know the teachings of Jesus and why it matters.
  3. Know how to connect, and stay connected with Jesus for life.
  4. Know what a disciple of Jesus looks like.

Our five core values:

  1. We give up the things we love for the things we love more.
  2. We will do whatever it takes to see people come to know Jesus Christ.
  3. We are faith-filled, big-thinking, all-in risk takers for the kingdom.
  4. We are contributors, not consumers.
  5. We are outwardly facing.

ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY

Woodland Park is a picturesque city in Teller County, Colorado, that lies at 8500’ above sea level in the shadow of one of the world’s most famous mountains: Pikes Peak.

We sit on the edge of Pikes Peak National forest, we’re minutes away from Mueller State Park, and just over an hour to world-class whitewater rafting and skiing.

With a population of 8000, we have a small town feel, but with only a 25-minute drive of Colorado Springs, you’re never far away from anything.
