Tulsa Central Church Children’s & Associate Pastor Job Description
Position: Full-Time
Salary: Based on experience
Job Summary
Tulsa Central Church, we are building lives centered on Christ. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Pastor to lead and develop a dynamic children’s ministry that aligns with the vision of the church. This individual will oversee Sunday morning children’s ministry, midweek programming, and community events, while also contributing to broader pastoral responsibilities based on their gifts and passions. This position will also take on Associate/Executive roles within the church. The scope of these roles will be determined based on the candidates giftings and passions, as well as church needs.
Primary Responsibilities
• Work with lead pastor to build and execute a comprehensive plan for the spiritual care and formation of families with children
• Recruit, train, schedule, and manage volunteers.
• Build relationships with children and their families.
Sunday Morning Children’s Ministry
• Ensure each classroom is equipped with volunteers and necessary resources.
• Ensure that new families are welcomed and provided tours of facilities.
• Overseeing or conducting children’s worship and preaching.
• Foster a dynamic engaging environment that brings children closer to Christ.
Midweek Responsibilities
• Oversee Wednesday night children’s programming.
• Collaborate with small groups to integrate children’s activities.
Events
• Work with the lead pastor to plan and execute community events focused on children, including:
o Easter
o Fall/Halloween
o Summer
o Back-to-School
• Coordinate, recruit, and schedule volunteers for events.
Administrative & Budget Management
• Set and manage budgets for children’s ministry and related events.
Associate Pastor Responsibilities

• Facilities oversight
• Social media engagement
• Website Maintenance
Requirements
• Clear call to ministry
• Stands in agreement with Church of the Nazarene polity and theology
• A heart for children and desire to nurture their spiritual growth.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate across all mediums.
• Passion for raising up and empowering leaders in children’s ministry.
• Vision to shape and cultivate a children’s ministry that effectively reaches young families.
