Website M1Naz (Marietta First Church)
Full-time worship arts and assimilation pastor: Lead our worship team, both on and off the platform, and the congregation on Sunday mornings and special services in music ministry. It will also be to work hand in hand with the lead pastor on constructing Sunday services.
They will also be responsible for media and communication to the church body and surrounding community via website (m1nazchurch.com) and social media (M1Naz Church) promoting events both locally and districtwide.
In regard to assimilation, this position will work hand in hand with our connections and first impressions team to find and implement effective ways in connecting with all ages that enter through our doors. They will also work with our NDI team to creatively improve small group and discipleship ministries for all ages.
This person is directly accountable to the lead pastor.
We’re looking for someone with an adaptable skill set and leadership capabilities, which will enable our worship ministry and experience to grow, will improve effective communication, and enable a more welcoming and thriving environment in the church for regular attenders and guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with the Lead Pastor to plan the worship services
• Lead the musical portion of worship services (both on and off the platform – (depending on who is leading that Sunday. Our goal is for you to equip others to lead as well)
• Form teams that can lead worship whether you are or are not leading up front that Sunday
• Develop a process to regularly identify and deploy new volunteers in the church’s worship ministry, first impressions team, and connections team
• Develop and maintain a positive environment among the various team members
• Look for ways to inspire non-musical worship experiences for the church body
• Work with the church’s worship audio/tech team
• Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments owned by the church (be in communication about new needs in regard to upgrades and/or maintenance)
• Train and work with those volunteering at our welcome center, greeters, etc.
• Actively be part of the NDI team, working with NDI President on shaping our small group and discipleship ministries to coincide with our mission: Engage, Equip, Go
• Attend conferences and/or workshops to learn new ways to improve worship team, first impressions team, and connections team
• Attend staff functions (if they don’t interfere with other work)
