Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Worship Leader to guide our congregation in worship through music and spiritual education. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of worship practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. This role is essential in fostering a vibrant worship environment that encourages participation and spiritual growth.

PART-TIME: 20-25 hrs per week
Potential for FULL-TIME with overseeing other ministry needs (young adults and/or outreach)

Responsibilities

• Lead congregational worship services, ensuring a meaningful and engaging experience for all attendees.
• Select appropriate music and coordinate with musicians and vocalists to prepare for services.
• Educate the congregation about worship practices, helping them to understand the significance of each element in the service.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their musical and spiritual abilities.
• Communicate regularly with church leadership regarding worship plans, themes, and any necessary adjustments.
• Organize rehearsals for the worship team, ensuring all members are prepared for services.
• Foster an atmosphere of collaboration among musicians, vocalists, and technical staff to create seamless worship experiences.
• Scheduling volunteers and planning a clearly communicated order of service.
• Proficient with MultiTracks Playback to include the use of tracks (when necessary), pads, & click.
• Participate in church-wide outreach & fellowship events
• Additional duties as determined by the lead pastor

Requirements

• Teachable & willing to work with others
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a church or similar setting.
• Strong musical skills with proficiency in one or more instruments preferred.
• Technically skilled or willing to learn (Planning Center, ProPresenter 7, MultiTracks)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with the congregation and team members.
• Ability to educate others about worship practices and inspire them to participate actively.
• Experience in mentoring individuals or teams is highly desirable.
• A deep personal faith commitment and understanding of biblical teachings related to worship.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the ministry context while maintaining a positive attitude
