Overview
Position: Lead Pastor
Location: Dallas The Grove Community.
The Lead Pastor serves as the primary spiritual leader of The Grove Community Church of the Nazarene. Responsible for leading staff, casting vision, preaching biblical sermons, providing pastoral care, and overseeing all ministries and operations. Represents the church within the denomination and community.
Responsibilities:
- Preach biblically-based sermons each Sunday
- Lead weekly worship services and special services like baptisms, funerals, weddings
- Provide spiritual counsel, discipleship, and care for the congregation
- Cast vision and align ministry efforts
- Partner with the Church Board on matters of vision, direction, policy, and budgets
- Oversee evangelism efforts, community outreach, and service programs
- Welcome new members into the church community
- Participate in denominational activities and events
Qualifications:
- Alignment with Church of the Nazarene doctrine and polity
- Preacher and teacher with the ability to inspire and motivate
- Organizational leadership and team-building abilities
- Pastoral heart for congregational care and spiritual nurture
- Passion for evangelism, discipleship, and community service
