NewportNaz is located on the central Oregon coast. It is our desire to bring more of a modern sound to our church. We are a band church, not a choir church.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pray for, support, and be an extension of the vision and values of
NewportNaz Church. Our Vision is to help people: Encounter God,
Grow in Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference.
• Pray for, encourage, and provide pastoral care to the Worship &
Media Teams under your care.
• Work with the lead pastor to plan and execute a powerful worship
experience where people encounter the presence of God.
• Leverage the features of Planning Center by scheduling volunteers
and planning a clearly communicated order of service for all teams.
• Leverage MultiTracks Playback to use tracks, pads, click tracks, etc.
to maximize the effectiveness of the worship team and enhance the
experience for the congregation.
• Plan and run regular rehearsals in an effort to fulfill our value of
excellence in the area of worship.
• Disciple volunteers under your care with devotionals at weekly
rehearsals and encourage accountability to ensure that the team is
involved in other church discipleship and connection opportunities.
• Recruit, train, and hold accountable team members to protect the
unity of the church while modeling a life yielded to the Holy Spirit.
• Execute, promote, and tweak a clear audition process to onboard
skilled musicians and singers onto the team efficiently.
• Serve alongside our contracted Graphic Designer to help continue to
achieve “our look” through the collaborative creation of sermon
series art, promotional graphics, etc.
• Develop, oversee, and steward the annual worship & media budget.
• Oversee the broadcast team and the livestream experience and
ensure volunteers are adequately trained and equipment is working
properly.
• Develop & Oversee a production team (audio, lighting, and
presentation) and the Sunday experience while being competent and
knowledgeable in church technology lanes.
• Oversee graphics and videos for Sunday worship experiences.
• Oversee the maintenance and upgrades made to our A/V and
production equipment.
• Be available to assist with music for funerals and weddings, monthly
worship nights, and any other outreach events (as needed).
• Work well with the rest of the team in planning, evaluating, and
executing life-giving ministry at NewportNaz.
• Participate in church-wide outreach & fellowship events.
• Lead a Journey group once a year.
• Additional duties as determined by the lead pastor.

• Technically skilled (Planning Center, ProPresenter 7, MultiTracks,
Sound Board, Lighting Console, Etc.)
• Strong musical background and able to speak the language of
musicians and direct them at a high level.
• Proficient vocalist and able to teach vocal parts
• Driven and able to meet deadlines
• Engagement on social media platforms
• Strong leader
• Team-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Fun to be around and work with
