Overview
Searching for a full-time Children’s Pastor to oversee all aspects of the children’s ministry program. This person will be dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of children in the church community, creating a safe and engaging environment, and building strong relationships with both children and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Spiritual Leadership:
- Provide spiritual guidance and teaching to children in a way that is age-appropriate and relevant to their lives
- Plan and lead engaging and meaningful worship, lessons, and activities that align with the teachings and values of the Nazarene Church
- Volunteer Coordination:
- Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to assist in various aspects of the children’s ministry.
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Organize and oversee special events, programs, and activities tailored to children and their families.
- Communication:
- Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding upcoming events, curriculum, and opportunities for involvement in the children’s ministry program.
- Foster open and transparent communication with the broader church.
- Administration:
- Comfortable with using Planning Center online management tools (people, check-ins, groups, etc.)
- Assist in budgeting and financial management for the children’s ministry program.
Qualifications:
- A personal commitment to the Christian faith, and alignment with the Articles of Faith.
- Experience working with children in a church or similar setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to both children and their families.
- Organizational and administrative abilities to effectively manage the children’s ministry program.
- Ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers in a collaborative and supportive manner.
