We are who God calls us to be on that given day.
The major tasks of the Children’s Pastor are as follows:
– To help plan, support, supervise, and coordinate any ministry activities related to children, birth up to 5th grade.
– To be involved in gathering a team of workers to assist with the various programs and activities planned for these various age groups.
– Coordinate the Wednesday Evening programming for the children.
– Make calls on the children when they are in the hospital or during primary moments in their lives.
– Have regular contact with the Senior Pastor for times of training and evaluation.
– Support the church in any of its activities as needs arise.
– Give over-site of persons filling the positions of nursery and toddler ministries.
– Support and help facilitate the Vacation Bible School Program.
– Supervise and help facilitate the Children’s Church Program.
– Attend the district Primary and Junior Children’s Camp
– Attend monthly church board meeting prepared to report on the children’s ministry of the church.
– Attend weekly staff meeting to plan and coordinate activities with other staff members.
– Purchase supplies and educational materials related to children’s ministry.
– Have supervision of any persons employed by the church to run the infant and toddler nurseries.
