College Music Director / Worship Pastor

Nazarene Student Ministries at Oklahoma State University is seeking a passionate and spiritually mature individual to serve as our Music Director or Worship Pastor. This individual will help lead students in worship while fostering a Christ-centered atmosphere where college students and young adults can grow in their faith.

This is a part-time position, primarily serving Wednesday evenings, with occasional additional meetings, rehearsals, special events, or retreats as needed.

Responsibilities
Plan and lead worship during the weekly Wednesday evening gathering.
Prepare and lead 3–5 worship songs each week.
Coordinate and rehearse with any volunteer musicians or vocalists.
Create a welcoming, engaging, and worshipful environment for students.
Work alongside the ministry leadership team to align worship with the weekly message and overall vision of the ministry.
Assist with worship planning for special events throughout the year as needed.

Qualifications
A growing and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
Demonstrates spiritual maturity and a sound understanding of biblical doctrine.
Supports the mission and values of the Church of the Nazarene.
Ability to confidently lead worship vocally.
Proficiency on at least one instrument (guitar, piano, or drums).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, organized, and able to prepare for weekly gatherings.
Experience leading worship is preferred but not required.
