Children’s Pastor

It is the mission of UBNC to direct people to a relationship with Jesus. The Children’s Pastor is a significant part of that mission. The Children’s Pastor is responsible for leading the spiritual development and creating the foundations of faith through ministry to children and their families.

Reports to: Lead Pastor

Job Description:

Lead the spiritual and educational development for children and families. This includes curriculum selection, volunteer recruitment and development, classroom management, and operational management necessary to ensure successful, continuously improving weekend children’s gatherings and periodic special events.

Position standards and Requirements:

You must be a professed Christian, baptized by water and have a clear direction from the Holy Spirit as to your call. You must adhere to all tenets of the Church of the Nazarene and submit to all standards as described in the Manual of the Church of the Nazarene. You will support the ministries of University Boulevard Nazarene Church. You will comply with all church policies and support the mission and vision of the church. You will work in conjunction with all staff members in a cooperative and positive tone. Also:

1.      An exuberant personality

2.      Must be a self-starter with a desire to see your ministry grow

3.      Bachelor’s degree and work toward deeper theological training or equivalent experience

4.      Solid work ethic

5.      Lifelong learning
