The primary responsibility of the Worship & Arts Pastor is to develop his or her relationship with Jesus, and then share his or her spiritual gifts, strengths and talents to create space for the congregation to engage the Father, exalt Christ, and hear from the Spirit.
The below job description is impossible for a part time person to manage. Therefore, we would adjust this according to the candidates personality, needs, strengths and hours. Salary is $30,000 – $40,000. We do have a large parsonage available if so desired.
I am looking for someone …
1.    Who has a healthy relationship with Jesus Christ and with spouse/children (if applicable)
2.    Who endeavors to develop a healthy inner life of emotional and spiritual maturity (what we do is important, but who we are is more important).
3.    Who is dependable, humble, exhibits integrity, and values accountability.
4.    Who has a broad theological understanding of praise and worship.
5.    Who has spiritual insight into the overall flow and purpose of worship services.
6.    Who has a deep passion for Christ-centered worship.
7.    Strong musical proficiency in vocals and/or instrumentation.
8.    To partner with the Sr. Pastor and church leadership to create space for a multigenerational congregation to experience and enjoy God.
9.    Who has a pastoral heart and the desire to invest in and develop his or her team.
10. Who will help our congregation grow deeper in worship – through music and other creative expressions.
11. Who will endeavor to bridge the gap between the old and new (i.e. music style, liturgy, etc.)
12. To oversee the music ministry (including weekly song selection, scheduling musicians, vocalists and AV technicians, managing subscriptions and licensing, budget, etc.).
13. Who will invest in our children and young people.
14. Help plan and lead music for weekly Sunday worship services.
15. Who will support and be engaged in other areas of the local church.
16. Who is a team player.
17. Who is ordained or pursuing ordination in the Church of the Nazarene.
Other Responsibilities:
1.    Accountable to the Senior Pastor.
2.    Attend weekly staff meetings.
3.    Attend church leadership meetings.
4.    Attend relevant District events and other training opportunities.
5.    Oversee praise and worship budget.
6.    Oversee Planning Center and other applicable software.
7.    Provide music for special occasions (e.g. Easter, Advent, Christmas Eve, funerals).
8.    Oversee AV equipment.
9.    Attend the Emotionally Healthy Discipleship course at least once every 2 years.
10. Be in harmony with the doctrines and practices of the Church of the Nazarene.
11. Be a life-long learner – emotionally and spiritually.
12. Recruit and develop praise and worship team.
13. Set aside one day a month to be with God.
