About M1Naz

M1Naz is a growing, cross-generational, family-oriented church committed to the mission: Engage, Equip, Go. We are passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and live it out in their everyday lives. Each week, 50-60 children participate in our services, and we are expectant about what God will continue to do through the next generation.

Position Summary

The Children’s Pastor will champion the spiritual formation of the next generation by leading a vibrant, Christ-centered ministry for children (birth through 5th grade). This leader will create environments where kids are engaged in the gospel, equipped to grow in their faith, and empowered to live it out.

This role is both visionary and hands-on – building systems, developing leaders, and investing relationally in kids and families inside and outside of Sunday gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:

Ministry Leadership & Vision

– Lead and cast vision for children’s ministry in alignment with    M1Naz’s mission: Engage, Equip, Go
– Build a ministry that helps children:

Engage with God through meaningful, age-appropriate experiences
Be Equipped with a strong biblical foundation
Go and live out their faith at home, school, and in their community

– Oversee all aspects of children’s ministry (birth-5th grade), ensuring excellence, consistency, and growth
– Connect with kids and families outside of Sunday mornings and evenings
– Regularly evaluate and refine ministry strategy for greater impact

Teaching & Spiritual Development

– Ensure engaging, Bible-centered teaching across all age groups
– Create environments where children can worship, learn, and respond to God
– Champion discipleship pathways that help kids take next steps in their faith

Volunteer Recruitment & Development

– Recruit, train, and lead a strong, healthy volunteer team
– Develop leaders – not just helpers – who are invested in the mission
– Equip and empower your team with the ability to function in your absence
– Foster a culture of encouragement, ownership, and spiritual growth

Family Engagement

– Partner with parents as the primary spiritual influencers in their children’s lives
– Provide tools, communication, and support to help families grow together
– Create opportunities for families to connect and engage in the life of the church

Program & Event Leadership

– Plan and execute impactful ministry experiences, including special events (VBS, camps, outreach)
– Ensure all environments are welcoming, organized, and engaging for kids and families

Safety & Administration

– Maintain a safe, secure, and well-organized ministry environment
– Oversee check-in systems, volunteer screening, and child protection policies
– Steward ministry resources and budget with excellence

Qualifications

– A committed follower of Jesus with a growing, authentic faith
– Passion for discipling children and partnering with families
– Alignment with the mission and values of M1Naz
– Humble, relational, and team-oriented leader

Education & Experience

– Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, education, or related field (preferred)
– Experience in children’s ministry or a related leadership role

Work Schedule

– Regular weekend services required
– Weekday office hours and occasional evenings for events or gatherings

– Continue growing personally, spiritually, and as a leader

COMPENSATION/PACKAGE: $35,000
