Griffin First Church of the Nazarene (G1Naz)
This is a part-time pastoral role (approximately 15–18 hours per week) ideal for a leader who feels called to serve in a smaller church setting where deep relationships and genuine faith are highly valued. We are looking for someone with a shepherd’s heart and a visionary spirit to walk alongside our congregation as we grow in Christ.
Key Responsibilities
Worship Leadership & Preaching
Prepare and deliver weekly sermons that are biblically sound, Spirit-led, and relevant to daily life. Lead Sunday worship services and cultivate an atmosphere of reverence, joy, and authentic worship.
Pastoral Care
Offer spiritual guidance, support, and care to individuals and families within the congregation. Be present in times of need, providing compassionate counsel rooted in biblical truth.
Leadership & Administration
Partner with church leadership to provide direction, oversee ministry operations, attend board meetings, and help clarify and implement vision as we pursue God’s call for our church.
Community Engagement
Serve as a visible and welcoming presence in the local community. Build relationships and represent the church in ways that invite others into fellowship and faith.
Discipleship
Encourage spiritual formation through teaching, Bible study, prayer, and mentorship—nurturing deeper faith across all generations.
Qualifications
- A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
Ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene - A heart for small-church ministry and relational leadership
- Strong preaching, teaching, and pastoral care abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to serving a multigenerational congregation with grace and wisdom
