Our primary goal for the Connections Pastor is to cultivate a culture where people are encouraged to keep taking growth steps in their pursuit of Jesus until they are fully equipped to multiply other disciples of Jesus Christ. The Connections Pastor shall be responsible for the following areas of ministry: 1) Hospitality, 2) Guest Follow-Up, and 3) our overall Connections Process.

- Incorporating Jesus’ relational approach to discipleship into your own personal life and church-wide ministry.
- A developmental mindset and heart for recruiting, equipping, empowering and appreciating volunteers.
- A heart for the church as God’s ‘Plan A’ for reaching a lost world.
Wesleyan/Arminian theology. - Helping us continue to develop a leadership team marked by humility, spiritual ambition, a commitment to excellence, prayerful preparation, flexibility and healthy communication.
Experience: 2-3 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry preferred. The candidate must become a Licensed Minister with the Wesleyan Church within 2 years of starting employment.
Position Expectations:
- Aligning our Connections Process with the overarching vision of our church, setting up the needed process with our church management software (FellowshipOneGo).
- Our initial and follow-up guest reach-outs.
- Giving general oversight over, along with being responsible for all volunteer recruiting, training and scheduling for our
- Hospitality Ministries, which includes our greeters, ushers & Security Team.
- Developing a “Calling Lab” type ministry that helps our people discover their SHAPE (Spiritual Gifts – Heart – Abilities – Personality – Experiences).
- Serving as the contact person and coordinator for our Partner Ministries (ministries led by RiverTree attenders that operate beyond our umbrella of core church programming).
- Oversight over our Wedding Process.
- Sharing in the officiating of funerals and weddings.
- Preaching 1-2 times per year (if desired).
- All RiverTree Staff members are expected to be proficient with Microsoft Office, F1GO & Planning Center church management programs, along with the major social media applications.
