Family & Youth Pastor
The Youth and Family Pastor/Director is responsible to make connection with our Daycare Families and start a group for Middle & High Schooler. He/She will create programs, foster relationships, and equip students and family with the resources and support the need to thrive in life and find wholeness in Christ.
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Part-time (15-20 hours per week).
Financial Package: The Youth & Family Pastor will be paid an annual salary beginning on a part-time basis. The annual salary will be determined by the Church Leadership Team.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Church has a Childcare, and we would like to more intentionally connect with our Daycare Families and start a Youth Group, we have few have a kids but currently do not have a youth group, but we want to start from few to where God leads us. It may be a challenging ministry for someone who does not have a gift of relationship. But I believe if God wants nothing is impossible.
1.      Build and develop Youth Group: Recruit, train, and mentor to support young generation.
2.      Shape the practical, spiritual, and biblical framework: Create a strategic plan for youth ministry that aligns with the church’s vision and mission, the Articles of Faith of the church of the Nazarene, and that helps every student thrive in life.
3.      Organizes programming and events for students: Foster a welcoming environment where students can feel accepted and supported through various events, activities, bible studies, times of worship, District events, and outreach or mission projects.
4.      Provide spiritual and pastoral care to students and their families: Build relationships with students and their families, providing spiritual guidance, mentorship, and coaching.
5.      Maintains MinistrySafe policies and procedures: Follow and support all Aubnaz MinistrySafe policies and procedures. Work with the Church Board and Lead Pastor.
Secondary Responsibilities:
1.    Teaching and Preaching: Share in the Sunday morning preaching responsibilities as needed and teach in small groups, Bible classes, and other ministry settings.
2.    Perform other pastoral duties as needed: Assist in areas of administering the sacraments, visitation, counseling, weddings, funerals, and other areas as time and expertise permit.
3.    Support the church in other areas as needed.
4.    Be a primary storyteller of lives transformed by God whenever possible.

Qualifications
1.    A deep, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for youth & family ministry.
2.   Prefer District License but not required.
3.    Ability to connect with students and foster positive relationships with them and their families.
4.    Servant leadership and communication skills. And a heart for service and a desire to support students thrive in life.
5.    Ability to work collaboratively with church leadership, volunteers, and families.
