About Us
Park Lane Church of the Nazarene is a welcoming faith community dedicated to sharing the love of Christ through worship, service, and community engagement. We are seeking a Worship Pastor who will work closely with the Lead Pastor in leading and overseeing Park Lane Church’s music ministry and worship services.
Role Overview
The Worship Pastor will be responsible for facilitating worship experiences that is theocentric, aligns with the church’s mission, and help foster a deeper connection with the congregation. They will closely with the Lead Pastor to ensure the music complements the themes and messages of the church services.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Coordination: Leading the praise team, musicians, and overseeing rehearsals. Collaborating closely with the Lead Pastor to align music with sermon themes.
Pastoral Role: Providing counsel to ministry team members, supporting church events like weddings and funerals, and offering spiritual guidance.
Music & Worship Selection: Choosing appropriate songs for services, ensuring they support the worship atmosphere, and screening new music for the team.
Social Media & Tech Leadership: Managing church’s media and technology aspects (ProPresenter, social media, website) and ensuring compliance with music copyright laws.
Interpersonal Skills: Building a strong volunteer team, fostering a respectful and team-oriented atmosphere.
Qualifications
Spiritual Maturity & Integrity: A growing Christ-follower with a strong work ethic and a commitment to the church community.
Creative & Strategic: A good eye for design and an ability to translate spiritual themes into creative visual and musical expressions.
Team-Builder: Able to inspire, organize, and guide volunteers in serving the church’s worship ministry.
Worship Leader: Passionate about leading authentic, spirit-led worship and distinguishing it from musical performance.
