Position Title: Children/Youth Ministry Pastor Location: Mannington, WV
Mannington Church of the Nazarene is a welcoming congregation dedicated to loving God, serving others, and making Christlike disciples. We are prayerfully seeking a Children/Youth Pastor (Family Life Pastor) to guide our young people and equip them to live out their faith.
Qualifications:
Clear sense of God’s call to ministry and a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Ability to relate well to children, youth, and their families.
Strong leadership, organizational, and people skills.
Team-oriented with open communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the Lead Pastor and church board.
Compassionate, flexible, loyal to the church, and committed to confidentiality.
Professional in conduct with good hygiene.
Must pass a background check and have a driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
Actively pursuing or have met educational requirements toward ordination in the Church of the Nazarene (preferred).
Responsibilities:
Provide vision and leadership for children’s and youth ministries.
Plan and lead age-appropriate programs, Bible studies, and events that encourage participation in worship and discipleship.
Build supportive relationships with young people and their families.
Encourage youth involvement in Sunday worship, church events, and service opportunities.
Work closely with the Lead Pastor and church board to align ministry goals with the overall mission of the church.
Attend weekly worship services and church events as a visible and engaged leader.
Provide spiritual encouragement and compassionate care to youth and children.
Ensure ministry activities are safe, Christ-centered, and welcoming.
Compensation & Benefits:
We are looking for someone who is pretty much fulltime. We can discuss salary package and such with you, if you are interested.
