Overview
El Morro Church (A Church of the Nazarene) is a friendly, growing, intergenerational church of about 200-250 located near Morro Bay, California. We’re committed to extending the love of Christ, reaching people for Christ, and helping people grow in the image of Christ. We’re looking for someone with a heart for God and a heart for young people to serve as our Pastor of Student Ministries. This age-group includes Junior High, High School, and College Ministries and our desire is that these age-groups maintain their own identity (as opposed to being grouped together due to a lack of leaders). We desire someone who is highly-relational and is willing to invest in the lives of our students beyond weekly gatherings. Leadership development, bridge-building with families, and the ability to help students love and live the word of God are also high priorities.
On a side-note and a not a necessity, but if this person’s passion and skill-set include leading worship, we’d be happy to discuss what this might look like in our church setting as well.
