About Us

Park Lane Church of the Nazarene is a welcoming faith community dedicated to sharing the love of Christ through worship, service, and community engagement. We are seeking an Associate Pastor of Youth Ministries who will partner with the pastoral staff and leadership team to lead and cultivate the spiritual growth of the congregation, whose primary focus is towards middle and high school youth (grades 6-12).

 

Role Overview

This role includes oversight, design, and execution of youth ministry initiatives while equipping volunteers, engaging families, and reaching out to the local community. This position plays a key role in shaping a dynamic, Christ-centered youth culture aligned with Park Lane Church’s mission, values, and vision.

 

Key Responsibilities

Provide spiritual leadership and discipleship to youth (grades 6–12).
Prepare and submit an annual budget for youth ministries.
Equip and mentor NYI council members and volunteers.
Conduct or oversee:

Wednesday youth meetings
Sunday School class for youth
Youth small group gatherings

Create innovative approaches to engage youth in worship, witness, fellowship, and service.
Identify and develop new youth leaders and volunteer roles.
Maintain a culture of discipleship, outreach, and belonging for all youth.
Coordinate youth involvement in church-wide worship and events.
Other Responsibilities

Preaching opportunities will be available for those who feel called to preach.
Assist in planning and executing church events and community outreach.
Support the Lead Pastor in:

Church services and ceremonies (weddings, funerals, baptisms)
Counseling and spiritual guidance for members
Visitation of members and newcomers
Identifying outreach opportunities in the community
Building relationships with local schools and businesses
Attend and actively participate in weekly staff meetings and inter-church programs.
