Children’s Pastor

Overview:
Westside Church of the Nazarene is seeking a passionate, energetic, and spiritually mature Children’s Pastor to lead our ministry to kids from birth through 5th grade. The ideal candidate will love Jesus, love kids, and have a heart to partner with parents in helping children know, love, and follow Christ.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of children’s ministry, including Sunday programming, midweek activities, special events, and volunteer coordination.
• Recruit, train, and equip volunteer teams to serve effectively in children’s ministry environments.
• Develop and implement engaging, biblically sound curriculum that helps children grow in faith and understanding.
• Provide a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children and families.
• Partner with parents to equip them as the primary spiritual influencers in their children’s lives.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to ensure ministry alignment with the church’s mission and vision.
• Plan and lead major children’s events and seasonal celebrations.

Qualifications:

• A vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to children’s ministry.
• Proven experience leading or serving in a children’s ministry setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to connect with kids, parents, and volunteers in a positive, encouraging way.
• Ministry degree or equivalent experience preferred.
